Another landscape completed! "The Blue Boat" - oil on canvas, 5" x 7".

While I add the last finishing touches to my large

landscape and wait for it to dry, I thought I'd start another relatively small one. Walking along the shore in Provincetown, MA, a royal blue boat caught my eye. It was not only a serene sight, but it was also a meditative painting process. You may think of course! Painting is a calming activity. This is probably true for most people and can be true for myself, but to be honest, there are times when I can find it frustrating and difficult. That may be due to the perfectionist inside of me. However, this painting felt like smooth sailing.

Thought I'd share some miniature landscapes I created while I work on larger pieces. From left to right: Frew Falls 1 (3" x 5" - oil on canvas board), Frew Falls 2 - Winter (3" x 3" - oil on canvas), Frew Falls 3 - Winter (3" x 3" - oil on canvas).

These pieces aren't as detailed and precise as I normally like to paint due to the small scale of them, but I enjoyed challenging my perfectionist side and painting a little looser.

All three pieces are posted on instagram! @katelundy128art

I'm excited to share that Seeping Sorrows was bought a few weeks ago! I know, I'm late

sharing this news (however I did post it on my instagram @katelundy128art when it sold).

I created Seeping Sorrows in high school when I was going through an emotional and difficult time. It was one of the first pieces I created that depicted internal hardships, which is a theme I continued and developed through some of my other works. For a long time, this piece has been a personal favorite of mine, and I'm so glad to have passed it along to someone who loves it just as much.

Selling this piece made me more motivated to work towards my dream of becoming a full-time artist. It gave me a taste of what it would feel like, and I'm hungry for more.

Thank you for visiting my website, and a big thank you to everyone who has supported me, my work, and my journey to living out my dream.
